We have a lift off!

First assignment was to make a list of everything a chef needs to think of before starting a restaurant. Here we go…!

May 1, 2020

The plan!

a bunch of A4 papers, a pen and my daughters creativity. All we need to get her unleashed and start writing a list of things we need to think about. The list is just wonderful and fantastic and made me smile, a lot.

Top list of things to do

  1. a roof with red tiles
  2. Sign
  3. Kitchen
  4. Flowers
  5. Play corner
  6. Puffs to sit on
  7. Chairs
  8. Tables
  9. Toilet
  10. Door
  11. Fireplace
  12. Coffee
  13. Hot chocolate
  14. Smoothie
  15. Water
  16. Kids menue
  17. Adult menue

We can’t do it all…

How to explain a 6 year old to focus…pick 3 items from your list you believe are most important

So she did, she grabbed a green marker and circled 4 items (not 3 of course…). One because daddy likes coffee and the other ones she reasoned herself.

  1. We need a sign, a logo. People need to be able to call us a name and we need to put something on the restaurant later on. very important and she is right…having a working name really helps
  2. Coffee! It made me very happy since I am a real coffee addict. She wants nice coffee cups, good coffee to serve. Good thinking.
  3. Kids menue. She is absolutely right, a restaurant without a menue is what? Happy she does the kids version first
  4. Adult menue…it of course followed directly after

We had a short discussion why we did not include the play area already now…you get it. Prioritising is not as easy as it seems.
